For the Cost of a Burrito
UK, Wednesday 30 October 2024: Taco Bell has transformed a Leeds student digs into a Taco-themed haven and will now see a superfan now living rent-free!
Leeds University’s biggest Taco Bell fan is the lucky tenant, who will have their rent covered by the restaurant for £1.99 – just the cost of a Cravings Burrito, whilst experiencing the beauty of living in a TacoBell-themed student flat every day for the rest of the year. Arabelle Holme is the dedicated Taco Bellenthusiast who secured the accolade following a rigorously judged video application that received hundreds of entries.
Arabelle’s undying love for the Mexican-inspired quick service restaurant has seen her shared student flat transformed into a Taco Bell-themed kitchen that allows her to Live Más at home. The digs have been carefully curated with details found in Taco Bell restaurants, including menu boards, ordering screens installed in the kitchen, and reusable cutlery and trays.
In her winning application, Arabelle revealed the lengths she goes to for Taco Bell, including camping outside the Cardigan Fields store desperate for a first taste of seasonal fries with sour cream dip.
“It might be Halloween but we’re about treats, not tricks,” says Jessica Kleinert, Head of Marketing, Taco Bell UK. “Students are the backbone of our late-night cravings, but rising costs are making it hard for them to enjoy student life fully. We wanted to create a fun and completely unique experience for our superfan, whilst bringing the Taco Bell experience to students daily.”
To celebrate, Arabelle and her housemates can enjoy the full Taco Bell experience without ever having to leave their student accommodation. Plus, with Taco Bell’s nationwide Cravings Value Menu, delicious and affordable deals abound – from single burritos for £1.99 to lunchtime specials (including a Cravings Burrito, fries, and a drink) for just £3.99 (£3.49 for loyalty members). And not to forget the new student discount: a free Crispy Chicken Soft Taco with any meal or box purchase.
Leeds University undergrad, Arabelle Holme, added: “My housemates and I always grab a Taco Bellbetween lectures or during a night out, so now we have the full experience in our own kitchen. We are the only flat in Leeds that can boast it has its very own Taco Bell, and we can’t wait to invite mates over to enjoy the full experience!”
